In all this doom and gloom about rising fuel costs and taxes we think this unfortunate motorist may have stumbled upon a unique solution, the downsides however do include being scared out of your mind and having your car written off so probably not that cost effective after all. We can only imagine how terrified the driver was but more importantly how the lorry driver failed to realise that they were pushing a car along the road for so long.

Is it possible that the government might actually help with these ridiculous rising fuel prices?

This SKY News report again highlights that there’s more misery instore for road users with fuel prices likely to be amongst things set to be hit by further price increases.

Motorists’ pockets will be hit even harder this year as petrol retailers predict the average cost of filling up a tank could soar to £70.

Planned government tax rises could see a litre of unleaded rocket to £1.36, while diesel could go up to £1.40.
